American Germander
Teucrium canadense
American Germander produces attractive white flower spikes in mid-summer and glossy green foliage The lower petal of each flower is enlarged, providing a passage for pollinators to walk inside of the flowers. Easy to grow and prefers wetter conditions. The bitter foliage is very deer resistant. American Germander looks best in a clump, but like other members of the mint family this plant spreads, getting wider and wider at the base. Divide periodically to keep it in check.
