Autumn Bride Hairy Alumroot
Heuchera villosa ‘Autumn Bride’
Autumn Bride is a robust native alumroot selected for its large, fuzzy green leaves and exceptional late-season floral display. Airy white flower panicles rise well above the foliage beginning in midsummer or late summer and can continue until frost, creating a bright, billowing effect when many shade plants have finished flowering.
As a selection of native Heuchera villosa, Autumn Bride retains the species' heat tolerance and value to native bees and other pollinators. It is happiest in partial to substantial shade and ordinary well-drained garden soil, yet established plants are surprisingly tolerant of dry conditions.
