Bradbury's Monarda
Monarda bradburiana
Bradbury's Monarda, also called Bradbury's Beebalm, is a delightful addition to any native garden, offering a burst of color and pollinator activity once established. This plant typically grows to about 1 to 2 feet tall and produces distinct whorls of pale pink to lavender flowers in late spring to early summer. Like many other mints, the foliage is aromatic. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soils, making it suitable for borders, wildflower meadows, or pollinator gardens.

Maintenance Tips
- Prefers rich, well-drained soil; tolerant of clay soils if drainage is adequate.
- Divide clumps every 2-3 years in early spring to maintain vigor and control spread.
- Watch for powdery mildew, a non-lethal but unsightly leaf disease, and manage through adequate spacing and trimming away of affected leaves.
