Dudley's Rush
Juncus dudleyi
Dudley's Rush features slender, upright, cylindrical stems, typically growing up to 3 feet in height. Like many other rushes, Dudley's produces small, brownish flowers that cluster at the top of the stems during the summer, adding a subtle decorative touch. Dudley's Rush is particularly valued for its ability to thrive in a variety of conditions, including wet soils and poorly drained areas, making it an excellent choice for rain gardens, stream banks, and naturalized areas where it can help control erosion and support wildlife habitats.
