Eastern Pasqueflower

Pulsatilla patens

Eastern Pasqueflower is one of the first perennials to bloom in spring, featuring soft, bell-shaped, whitish to lavender flowers that rise above silvery foliage. After the flowering period, the plant produces distinctive feathery seed heads that add a whimsical, fluffy texture to the garden landscape. Growing to about 8 to 12 inches tall, Eastern Pasqueflowers thrives in full sun and well-drained, sandy soil, making it perfect for rock gardens, alpine beds, and the front of sunny borders. Its drought tolerance also makes it suitable for xeric gardens.
