False Boneset
Brickellia eupatorioides
False Boneset, is a perennial forb that features upright, branching stems covered in narrow, dark green leaves that provide a lush backdrop for its late-blooming flowers. From late summer to fall False Boneset produces numerous small, fluffy flower heads that are typically white or pale pink. These blooms are especially attractive to butterflies, bees, and other pollinating insects, offering vital resources as other flowers begin to fade. False Boneset is versatile in the garden: growing 2 to 4 feet tall, thriving in well-drained dry to medium soils, and full sun to partial shade. It's particularly well-suited for wildflower meadows and as part of border plantings where its late blooms can extend interest and pollinator support into fall.

Maintenance Tips
- Drought-tolerant once established; water regularly during the first growing season and during prolonged dry spells thereafter.
- Deadhead flowers to encourage more blooms or leave seed heads for winter interest and to support wildlife.
- Prefers well-drained soils but can tolerate a range of soil types from sandy to clay.
- Apply a layer of organic mulch to conserve soil moisture and suppress weeds.
- Monitor for pests and diseases, though false boneset is generally robust and requires minimal care once established.
