Garden Phlox 'Jeana'
Garden Phlox ‘Jeana’ is widely regarded as one of the best garden phlox selections for both aesthetics and ecological value. Unlike many other Phlox paniculata types, ‘Jeana’ features smaller individual flowers, but it produces them in exceptional quantity—creating dense, airy clouds of lavender-pink atop tall, sturdy stems. From midsummer into early fall, these blooms provide a continuous buffet for butterflies, especially Eastern Tiger Swallowtails, which favor it above other phlox lines in research trials.
Beyond its pollinator appeal, ‘Jeana’ is known for its excellent resistance to powdery mildew. The strong vertical habit (3–5 feet tall) makes it an ideal structural plant in mixed perennial borders, rain gardens, and sunny wildlife plantings. This selection brings weeks of brilliant color and ecological function to native-inspired or traditional garden designs alike.
