Kodiak Fresh Bush Honeysuckle

Kodiak Fresh brings unusually bright foliage to an exceptionally durable native-derived shrub. Its lime-green leaves brighten darker corners of the landscape, while small yellow tubular flowers appear through much of summer and draw a steady stream of pollinating insects and hummingbirds.

Bush honeysuckles are particularly useful where more demanding shrubs struggle. Kodiak Fresh tolerates sun, substantial shade, dry soil, and a wide variety of soil textures once established. It gradually spreads by suckering, making it useful for naturalized plantings, slopes, woodland edges, and erosion-prone areas where a durable low shrub is an advantage.

• Little pruning is necessary, though older stems can be thinned periodically to renew the shrub.
• Remove suckers where a more contained habit is desired, or allow them to develop where soil coverage and naturalization are priorities.
