Maple Leaved Alum Root
Heuchera villosa var. atropurpurea
Maple Leaved Alum Root (also sometimes referred to as Hairy Alumroot) grows in deep purple foliage that brings a splash of deep color to shady garden areas. This shade-loving perennial forms a dense clump of maple leaf or heart-shaped leaves that remain vibrant throughout the season. In late spring to early summer, it produces delicate white to pinkish flowers on tall, slender stalks that rise above the foliage, attracting hummingbirds and providing a delightful contrast.
