Palm Sedge
Carex muskingumensis
Palm Sedge is a wetland garden winner with its distinctive, palm-like foliage and upright growth, creating a striking silhouette. Growing up to 3 feet tall in ideal conditions, its bold structure is perfect for stabilizing soil and adding vertical interest to rain gardens, wet meadows, and pond edges. Palm sedge also produces slender, greenish-brown seed heads in late spring to early summer that add subtle visual interest while supporting local wildlife.
