Red-Flowered Buckwheat
Eriogonum grande var rubescens
Red-Flowered Buckwheat forms dense mats of rounded, gray-green leaves that act as a stunning backdrop for its bright pink-red flower clusters. These blooms appear in summer and last well into fall, providing a nectar source for butterflies and other pollinators while adding a lively splash of color to rock gardens, borders, and native plant gardens. Growing up to 1 foot in height and spreading up to 3 feet, Red-Flowered Buckwheat prefers full sun and well-drained soil.
