Showy Tick Trefoil

Desmodium canadense

Showy Tick Trefoil is an excellent addition to any garden focused on native planting or wildlife support. It produces clusters of small, pea-like pink-purple flowers throughout the summer which attract a variety of pollinators, including bees and butterflies. Be aware, after flowering, it produces sticky seeds that adhere to clothing and fur. This helps Showy Tick Trefoil disperse its seeds - perfect for a larger or restoration focused project, but maybe not the best fit for small yards or yards with pets.
