White Wood Aster
Eurybia divaricata
White Wood Aster is one of the earliest Asters to bloom, gracing the garden with clouds of small, daisy-like blossoms in late summer. A great addition to the shade garden, as plants that bloom so abundantly in shade are hard to come by. It is attractive year-round with its large, heart shaped leaves arranged in small, dark green mounds. In the early stages of a planting, it may spread to fill in gaps and form a nice groundcover, but spreading is not a major concern when planted with other taller or more robust plants.
