Common Wood Sedge
Carex blanda
Common Wood Sedge forms a small mound of grass-like foliage that makes an border to a garden bed. It is an extremely versatile plant, growing all in all but the driest soils and thriving in both sun and shade. In the early years of the garden, it can spread into gaps and be a bit floppy. However, once the garden fills in, it does not spread and has a more upright and attractive habit.
