Deergrass

Muhlenbergia rigens

Deergrass is a robust ornamental grass that forms dense, symmetrical clumps of slender, upright stems. In late summer to fall, it produces feathery, silver plumes that can reach up to 5 feet tall, swaying gracefully in the breeze and providing visual interest throughout the winter. This native grass is valued for its adaptability to a range of conditions, thriving in full sun to partial shade and requiring minimal water once established. It's an excellent choice for naturalistic plantings, borders, and as a focal point in drought-resistant landscapes.
