Marsh Phlox
Phlox glaberrima
Marsh Phlox, also known as Smooth Phlox, features glossy, lance-shaped leaves and upright stems that bear clusters of striking pink flowers. These blooms are not only a visual delight from late spring into early summer but also exude a gentle fragrance that attracts an array of pollinators, including butterflies and hummingbirds. This species is particularly well-suited to wetter garden areas, such as around ponds or in rain gardens, where it can thrive in moist, well-drained soil. Its robust growth and vibrant display make it an excellent choice for borders, naturalized areas, or alongside other moisture-loving perennials.

Maintenance Tips
- Prefers consistently moist soil; water regularly if not planted in a damp enough area, especially during dry periods.
- Deadhead flowers to encourage a second bloom and prevent self-seeding.
- Divide clumps in spring every 3-4 years to maintain plant health and vigor.
