Meadowsweet
Spiraea alba
Meadowsweet is a deciduous shrub that grows up to 4 feet in height. It features narrow, lance-shaped leaves and upright, slender branches that become laden with clusters of small, white flowers in mid to late summer. These delicate blooms provide a light, airy texture to garden settings and are highly attractive to butterflies and other pollinators. Meadowsweet is easy to care for, thriving in full sun to partial shade and adapting to a wide range of soil conditions, though it prefers moist, well-drained sites.
