Sticky Cinquefoil
Drymocallis glandulosa
Sticky Cinquefoil grows up to 2 feet tall and spreads through rhizomes, forming clumps of serrated, green leaves covered with sticky glandular hairs. From late spring to mid-summer, it produces airy clusters of five-petaled, bright yellow flowers atop slender, hairy stems. The sticky leaves and stems help protect the plant from herbivorous insects, making it an excellent choice for naturalistic plantings where minimal maintenance is preferred. It thrives in well-drained soils and full sun, making it suitable for rock gardens, borders, and restoration projects where erosion control is needed.
