Description

Blackfoot Daisy brings cheerful, long-lasting color to hot, dry gardens with crisp white daisy-like flowers surrounding sunny yellow centers. Blooming from spring through summer and often into fall, it forms a low mound of narrow gray-green foliage that looks right at home along pathways, in rock gardens, at the front of borders, or spilling gently over walls.

Native to rocky grasslands, limestone slopes, and desert landscapes of the southern Great Plains and Southwest, Blackfoot Daisy thrives in intense sun, lean soil, and excellent drainage. Its abundant flowers support native bees, butterflies, and other small pollinators, while its compact 6–12 inch habit makes it easy to tuck into water-wise plantings without overwhelming neighboring plants.

Why Choose Blackfoot Daisy?

  • Long bloom season from spring into fall
  • Thrives in heat, drought, and lean soils
  • Compact form is perfect for edges, paths, and rock gardens
  • Supports native bees, butterflies, and small pollinators
  • Excellent choice for low-water Southwestern landscapes

Plant in full sun with sharply drained soil, and avoid overwatering or heavy mulch around the crown. Lightly shear after major bloom cycles to encourage fresh growth and a tidier mound.
