Slender Leaved Mountainmint

Slender Mountain Mint (Pycnanthemum tenuifolium) is a powerhouse pollinator plant with fine, needle-like foliage that adds airy texture and subtle movement to any garden, creating a buzzing hub of pollinator activity while adding graceful structure to sunny borders, meadows, and native plantings.

In mid to late summer, it bursts into clusters of white flowers flecked with purple, which are more showy than many other mountain mints. During bloom, the plants become alive with native bees, butterflies, wasps, and beneficial insects—a must-have for any pollinator garden.

Though it spreads readily by rhizomes, spring division is an easy way to keep it in bounds. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soils, and its tidy, upright habit makes it a great companion to more colorful wildflowers.

Why Choose Slender Mountain Mint?

• Top pollinator attractor – Supports a huge diversity of native insects.
• Elegant texture – Fine foliage contrasts beautifully with bolder plants.
• Easy to manage – Spreads by rhizomes but divides well in spring.

Plant Slender Mountain Mint in full sun and watch your garden come alive with pollinators—all while enjoying its soft texture and late-season bloom.
