Wild Strawberry (Fragaria vesca), also known as Woodland Strawberry, is a low-growing native groundcover that offers both beauty and bounty. This 32-plant pack is perfect for filling shaded or moist areas with lush green foliage, delicate blooms, and tiny, sweet berries that are loved by wildlife—and people, too.
From spring into summer, Wild Strawberry produces white, five-petaled flowers that develop into small, fragrant, edible red fruits. The dense mat of bright green, serrated leaves helps suppress weeds and provides excellent soil coverage in woodland edges, shaded beds, and moist garden borders.
Pollinators are drawn to the flowers, while birds and other creatures enjoy the berries. And yes, the berries are edible for humans, too—tiny but packed with flavor.
