Path Rush

Path Rush (Juncus tenuis) is a compact, grass-like native that offers subtle structure and exceptional toughness, making it a perfect edging plant for native beds, pathways, or meadow transitions.

Growing to just about 12 inches tall, Path Rush forms tidy clumps of fine, bright green foliage that provide a soft border around taller wildflowers and grasses. It’s incredibly adaptable, thriving in a wide range of soils—including compacted clay—and performs well in sun or partial shade.

Though unassuming in appearance, its resilience and versatility make it a valuable component in any planting that aims for structure, soil stabilization, or weed suppression along the margins.

Why Choose Path Rush?

• Great for borders & transitions – Neat, grass-like texture at garden edges.
• Extremely adaptable – Thrives in clay, compacted, or poor soils.
• Low-maintenance & durable – Tolerates foot traffic and variable conditions.

Plant Path Rush wherever you need a reliable, quiet workhorse—from garden edges to pathways—and enjoy a plant that thrives where others won’t.
