Common Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) is a hardy, fragrant native perennial with finely cut, feathery foliage and flat-topped clusters of white flowers that bloom from early to mid-summer. This 32-plant pack makes it easy to establish a robust, pollinator-supporting groundcover that brings both form and function to your landscape.
Yarrow’s shallow, nectar-rich flowers attract a wide range of small pollinators, making it a valuable addition to pollinator gardens and meadow plantings. It’s also an aggressive spreader, ideal for quickly filling in open spaces, especially in dry, sunny areas. To manage its enthusiastic growth, simply deadhead spent blooms and remove new shoots as needed.
Why Choose a Tray of Common Yarrow?
- Long bloom time – Flowers from early to late summer.
- Pollinator powerhouse – Supports bees, flies & other beneficial insects.
- Spreading groundcover – Fills space quickly in tough spots.
Plant Common Yarrow in full sun and well-drained soils for a resilient, pollinator-friendly carpet of blooms with a soft texture and a bold presence.
- Deadhead spent flowers to prolong blooming and keep spread in check
- If spread is undesired, plan to remove seedlings as they grow and periodically divide larger, well-established plants
- If flower stems become floppy in summer, you can either stake them up or cut them back leaving just the foliage at the base of the plant.
